About Kate

Kate’s yoga journey began in 2000, when she signed up for a beginner’s yoga class at a local gym. Immediately falling in love with the practice, Kate went on to explore and practice numerous styles of yoga, including Hatha, Iyengar, Ashtanga and Vinyasa.

In 2012, Kate graduated with an Advanced Diploma of Yoga Teaching from the Australian Yoga Academy. She has also previously completed a Bachelor of Social Work and has worked extensively with people experiencing homelessness, substance use and mental health issues.

Kate sees teaching as an opportunity to share with others the beauty, strength, grace and wisdom of yoga, and to provide the tools for achieving transformation, both within and without.

Kate’s classes are a mixture of flowing Vinyasa, static asana, pranayama (breathwork) and meditation. Kate is a warm, caring and compassionate teacher, committed to assisting students to reach their full potential through the practice of yoga.
